No disrespect taken Stephen, here's my situation, I have 1 laptop
that I use for everything and Windows 7 just works with very few
bugs. I do not have an IT department, LOL. I can learn a new
operating system, but after researching the issue, it sounds like
some drivers may not install properly. I did download Windows 10 and
tried to install it, but instantly got an error, and that was a
giant red flag for me. If all I need Windows 10 for is to do my
taxes once a year, my daughter has a new laptop with Windows 10
factory installed, that I can use, she lives 10 minutes away. I
think at this point, I'm going to dance with who brought me.<br>

Jason here. Win10 is really not that big a deal. Every few
years I have to get a new desktop at work, because I run
Solidworks, and every new release adds bells and whistles that
take additional horsepower and support only the most modern
OS. So my "new" machine (about 18 months old) had to be
Win10. The user interface is pretty similar to Win7. There's
a Start button in the lower left corner, and it brings up a
list of installed software, just like Windows has been doing
since Win95. I recall no frustration and little to no
learning curve. But it was set up by an IT guy and possibly
without realizing it I am actually running some kind of shell
that makes it look and act this way.

installing Windows 10 download to the
desktop the free add-on "Windows
Classicshell" by searching those keywords.
Get the latest version you can find. I say
download before because I found it very
difficult to navigate in Windows 10 to the
point I had trouble even opening a browser
window. I said download to the desktop so
you can actually find it under Windows 10.</span></font></p>
