      <div>Yes these are each 3 layers thick. Cut length so that the
        individual board length matches the width of 3 of the 2 x 8’s.
        You could make a bit smaller with 2 x 6’s if you do not need
        that area for ground support.</div>
      <div>I used some surplus straps for handles to easily carry them,
        where you can carry 2 from shop out to a trailer ready to dolly
        down.</div>
      <div>I have several smaller ones  made from 2 x 4’s that I space
        apart more. That way a tire can set between 2 of the 2 x4’s and
        not role. That gets enough height to roll under a vehicle on a
        creeper safely.<br>

              Apparently these consist of several layers nailed/screwed
              together.  That's a really good idea, vs. traditional
              cribbing which is short lengths of heavy timbers. Not all
              of us have easy access to heavy timbers, but some of us
              have plenty of 2x8 scraps...

                      the Allis B. Got engine out and put it on an
                      engine stand. Soaking pistons with penetrating
                      oil. Using word block and hammer to try and jar
                      pistons. The good news it that 3 of the 4 pistons
                      sound a little different when hitting the wood
                      with a hammer. 1 of them is more of a dull thud. I
                      am thinking the other 3 are closer to moving, and
                      the one is stuck a lot tighter than the others
                      are.
