<p><font face="Arial">Here's a workaround that I made years ago and
have used on many different engines - old tractors, trucks,
chain saws, cars, etc. Got the idea from a hot rod guy.<br>

<p><font face="Arial">Cut an old plug above its hex. Break out the
innards. Braze on a coupling and thread in a male air
disconnect. You can easily make up additional adapters for
different plug sizes.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Slip off the rubber cone from your compression
tester. Find a length of rubber hose that is a tight slip fit
over the tester end. Attach a female air disconnect to the
opposite hose end.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"> You'll need to slip the hose off the tester
end each time you check a cylinder, to bleed off the pressure
before the next test </font><font face="Arial"><font
face="Arial">by depressing the tire valve inside the tester </font>end.
