<p>Replacing the seat is not that big of a deal. There is a cement
that will work to glue them in. If you can remove the seat and
clean seat and block, then use the glue Loctite something I think,
then use a fine center punch to raise the metal around the rim of
the seat then peen it back down. I have worked on a lot of Onan
Engines... They were the power units for brush pumper units....
Steve W might jump in here too as I am sure he has repaired

My Gravely 816 tractor has an Onan 2 cylinder engine (B43M-GA
016). One of the exhaust valve seats is loose in the block
causing that cylinder to have no compression. It may be easier
to use a different engine than to fix this one. There are other
engines available in the local ads. Or course they are
different model numbers even though they look the same as mine.
Is there a good resource for me to determine the difference
between them?</div>
