      not made to be belt or chain driven because of the bearings used.

                about 1/2 a quart of oil per tankfull. The main problem
                for me is its loud, even with ear protection. I have
                tennitus, my ears ring all of the time. If i work next
                to a loud engine they really ring. </div>

              <div dir="auto">I had an old hydraulic pump, lines, and a
                tank that in my barn. I had picked them up cheap at one
                of the farm auctions i attended years ago. </div>

                i decided to mount the hydralic pump on the C and see if
                it woul run the splitter. I woul like it to run a little
                above idle and since it will be about 10 feet from the
                splitter it shouldnt be as loud. </div>

              <div dir="auto">Pulled the c out from its tarp, had been
                sitting about 4 years. Got it running, had to address
                rust, charging issues, coolant, air, etc. </div>

              <div dir="auto">Welded up an old pto shaft to the pump,
                mounted it and the tank. Got a few additional male quick
                connects, fluid, return hose. </div>

              <div dir="auto">Started it up. Ran the splitter... Way too
                slow. I knew that was a possibility. Pump is bigger in
                size than the log splitters but its only at 560 rpm vs
                the splitters 3500 rpm.</div>

              <div dir="auto">Here come the questions. Does anyone know
                anything about the pump in the image? If i attempt to
                make a belt or chain setup to increase the rpms what do
                you think the max rpm of that pump is? </div>
