<div>You are never going to use the remote fob on a winch from 50 feet away as
you are arriving at the trailer. I presume there has to be power to the
receiver at the winch. Just put an on/off switch in the power wire.</div>

panic button is a problem on the Ram occasionally but otherwise all the fobs
I’ve owned have behaved as one would expect.

remote. For safety it sounds smart as you can get farther away from the
cable and winching a non-running tractor alone onto a trailer without a helper

minimum unlatched. Not a good thing when tools are in there. My biggest peeve
is honking the horn or beeping when one locks and unlocks the car. Flashing
lights are plenty. Blind people aren't usually going to be driving and require
a blasted horn to let the know. First thing I had the dealer disable. No
longer user do-able. Pure noise pollution. If I don't know if I've locked my
car then I shouldn't drive. Oh and nothing as fun as having something in your
pocket set off the panic alarm. <span style="FONT-FAMILY: "Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif">😐</span> Not able to disable
that little 'feature'. Both my Jetta and my Ranger have this bonus.
