Thanks, but after 37 years of driving I think I can handle a gas
cap. Interesting with 200K miles my wife's car, same year, 2010

more domestics for me. <br>

I found out that on my 2000 Ranger it takes 30 start cycles
for it to go off. Now I own a scanner so I can reset any of my
3 vehicles. My 2013 TDi Jetta has had maybe three lights
related to glow plugs/coils that seem to come up if my start
sequence is whack. A no harm, no foul light. 140,000k and all
it's needed is a battery. Well I did at 125K get a light that
when I checked the code said the intake manifold needed to be
replaced. However since I kept the gross polluter and had VW
up/downgrade the software they extended the warranty so it was
replaced gratis! Not bad for that much mileage. I would up
losing about 2 mpg but I also got $6300 in cash between VW and
Bosch. <span style="font-family:"Segoe UI

<p class="MsoPlainText">I had a trouble light come on, on my
"new" 2010" Silverado. Turns out there is a sensor hooked to
the fuel system that will sense if a whiff of fuel vapor seeps
out of the system, for pollution/emission control; note this
is not even enough to smell. Meanwhile while I am fueling up,
and go to put the nozzle back in the holder, I get a small
stream of fuel that spills on the ground. Do you know how
much vapor must be in that stream? It was about a $200 sensor
and according to GM can be caused by driving on dusty roads.
Imagine that a pickup on a dusty road?<o:p></o:p></p>
