The next example(complete with cobwebs to really drive home the point).  All the antique tractors and engines I’ve messed with for a long time either have the two hole face or a smooth face.  Haven’t seen a slot since I think a Farmall F-something engine I rebuilt in the late 90s.

Suction cup arrow from my son’s childhood is still my main valve lapping tool. :-)
