What do you mean were, if it will put it back in service today, I’m doing it. Later I will take it to a proper shop to get it fixed right, when I am not so busy, and have extra time, and extra money, and I think about it, maybe.

Probably a stick welder. Surprising how resourceful (cheap) some farmers 
were.
