Yes! Grease comes in a wide range of viscosities, running from 000 to 6. Typical grease that we commonly use is right in the middle at #2. Deere recommends a 0 grease for their corn heads. Thus it is usually labeled as corn head grease. 00 grease is used for cotton picker spindles and is usually labeled that way. I couldn’t find a viscosity listed on the page Jason pointed at. But the list of uses suggests it is 0.
The differences in viscosity are pretty well explained on this site:

There is a lot more to classifying grease than how thick it is. This Amsoil page touches on the other classifications:

Yes, Deere still sells corn head grease in tubes but it is grade 0 not 00. It does not flow on its own without being stirred up.

I have bought it at Deere dealers in the past but not in the last 10-12 years so I'm not sure if they even still have it. Theirs came in cartridges like regular bearing grease.

Yikes, I did a quick McMaster-Carr search, and a 5 gal. pail of Mobil is $500.00
Get the kitty litter.

Does anyone have a source for 00 corn head grease? I have an old Troy
Bilt Horse that is leaking through the axle seals that I've already
replaced once. I've looked at TSC and Rural King, and can't find any.
When I ask, all the employees look at me like a deer in the headlights.
I've looked on-line and what I can find is $25 a quart. At that point
I'll park it above a tray of kitty littler and keep it full.
Thank-you,
Mike M
