Know what you mean, I live in Michigan. Rototilled the garden last week and I didn’t church up mud balls. First time in years that that’s happened. We’re in a high water level condition, but below normal rainfall. Weather patterns are definitely not normal.

Thanks Carl, we have been so dry here in Michigan, that I went so far as
causing my grass to go to seed. Finally we got 2.5" of rain and I
started cutting. I try not to cut in dusty conditions. Usually a day or
two after a rain is when I cut. Parts of my property will be to wet to
cut after a modest rain.

High fine conditions, like running in the desert where the sand can be as fine as talc, was a major issue for the Abrams tank. We had to develop self cleaning filters to discharge the dust when the air intake pressure dropped at a certain value. Before that, the crew had to exit the tank and beat the filters against the side of the tank. These were rather easy to get to, but were sizable filters requiring two hand lift.
