Since you’re using GMail, I think we can place the blame there - If yo were using some other service, you’d send to the list and the list would send it back, and you would in effect have 2 copies - 1 in Sent mail and 1 in received mail.

But GMail thinks it is smarter than that, so it won’t show you the one that comes back, because it already knows you’ve got a copy in the Sent mail.
