Ouch!

We used to have a go\od machine shop here in Rolla, but it is, alas! long gone.

Let me suggest he contact 2-cylinder Salvage (http://2cylplus.com/) and Sharp's Tractor (www.oldjdforyou.com), both around Conway/Fair Grove, to see if they can offer any leads. If there is something in the area, they might know.

I've got a friend who needs to have a 1 1/2 hp Deere E bored oversize. So far he's found Flywheel Supply in LeMars, Iowa who will do it for $500 and he'll have freight expenses both ways.

Is that the going rate, or are there other shops folks know about who can do a good job for less? He's near Springfield, Missouri.
