My wife is not going to get the vaccine yet, although it probably would
be offered to her. It's been rushed to market, not FDA approved, no no
idea of long term consequences, developed in 1/5 of the time a normal
vaccine takes to develop.

Getting vaccinated only means that you won’t get sick from it, or won’t get as sick. The yearly flus come and go twice a year, this one seems to stick around all year. The flus migrate around the globe as seasons and ambient conditions change, it’s not that they totally die off during certain times of the year. There was a diagram somewhere that showed how viruses move around the globe as seasons change. Once the virus is under control, we will probably fall into the misbelief that we eradicated it, but that will be the same misbelief we have about viruses like small pox and a host of other viruses. We were vaccinated against them, but every now and then a case shows up somewhere in the world. I believe there was a case of small pox a year or two ago somewhere in a mid-western state.
