Well, that’s not so bad. It has a purpose for being unique for a farmer in a business. 

 

My initial thought was someone is making a social statement.

Yes, it's real.  Just checked my photos of when Judy and I toured the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, Oregon in 2018.

Other "field art" is scattered around their farm, to entertain the many visitors.  Interesting, specialized operation - the family farm markets tulip bulbs worldwide, growing on a huge acreage, using custom equipment.
