[AT] Backpack leaf blower

Have you looked for an exploded view of the piston and associated parts? If
you do it might give you an idea of how the pin is held in place. Possibly
the washer is pressed fitted in to hold the pin in place. The new washer
may not be flat, it might be cupped. When you drive it in you wind up
flattening it and in turn it expands to hold the pin in. Can’t really tell
from the photo, but maybe it has something to do with the indentation on
the side of the piston. Do a search on replacing the piston for your blower
and see if somebody posted a YouTube video of how to do it.

$40 for Husqvarna parts sounds like a good deal. A lot of manufacturers use
common parts which I think helps to keep costs down across their product
lines and everybody else’s.
