[AT] Air compressor failure

Hope this link helps. It’s probably a case of adjusting the pressure
switch, which is out of adjustment or stuck. Remove the cover and take a
good look at the electrical contacts. You should be able to move them by
pushing on them to see that they move as they should. Next look to see what
opens the contacts when the pressure reaches its set point. Make sure it
moves as it should. If it doesn’t, it’s not cutting off the power as it
should. Also make sure it didn’t become bent somehow and now isn’t long
enough to do the job.

This could be a simple case of dirt or corrosion causing things to hang up,
or maybe somewhere a plastic piece being broken and causing things to hang
up.
