This is what I found on my search of dashcams in Washington State
*Dash cameras themselves are not illegal in Washington state*. However,
there are other considerations. The placement of the camera in that you are
required by statute to have an “unobstructed” view through your front
windshield.
The dashcam that I have mounted in my truck is actually attached to the ,
and part of the , rear view mirror with only a small wire to plug into the
cigarette lighter .
