That sounds more like a governor problem than a throttle control position issue. Don’t know anything about MF tractors so take it with a grain of salt.

Subject: [AT] Massey 65 Throttle Problem

My MF 65 has a issue when the governor open up under a load and then when the load goes away the motor rpm remains high and I have to back off the throttle. I am assuming the friction disk at the throttle is worn out, I believe I have tried to tighten in the past. I have looked online and have found no one that has this disk. Does anyone have a workaround?
