[AT] AAV running bad

John,

Been sitting about three years, did a complete rebuild of the engine about 4 years ago, ran fine. Had an issue with the hydraulic pump that I procrastinated on and finally got the gumption to take care of that and get it running again. Carb has been opened up cleaned, used carb cleaner, new gaskets and put back together. Fuel is fresh as well. Checked the points they are like new, distributor cap looks good too

Might need to try fuel from another location just in case, but all my small engines are doing fine

Assuming its the carb, take it apart and clean it, wouldn't replace unless it really worn. Now it could be a host of other things and I didn't notice where you posted on other work done, how long its been sitting, how old the fuel is, etc.

Finally got to get the AV up and running, looking for guidance on what to try next as it runs fine when idling. Give it some fuel and it starts running bad, so bad that it will kill. I’m thinking it’s a carb (Carter) issue, just trying to decide if I should try a rebuild or just replace it?
