We are 50 miles north on New York City, my office is in White Plans, Ny. Westchester county, and I’m an outside salesperson. Needless to say I limited my contact with customers the last 2 weeks, and have no plans to see anyone other than Joan and Jax my golden this week. Stores here have early hours for seniors so when we need something I will be taking advantage of the early hours. Joan has some issues with COPD and we are being extremely careful! My daughter is a police officer in the City of Newburgh NY. She is on medical quarantine for the next 3 weeks.
Stores here have no paper products or cleaning items that kill germs. And limited selection of meats.
So it’s a matter of keeping our heads down and staying in. Going to spend some time in the garage and get some things straightened out so I can get started on some projects. Joan I spent the last few weekends getting some projects done in the house
Everyone stay safe and healthy!
Bob

The area is formally know as the "Triangle". We have over 1.5 million people. As of this evening, we are up to 150 cases of the virus. We are blessed with some of the best hospitals in the nation (I'm about 15 miles from Duke). Folks come here all the time for treatment of various "odd" health issues. That said, we, like everyone else, are projected to run short on supplies and medical care.

The last one is kind of complicated. Yeah some foods are hard to get, but suddenly adding a teenage boy back at home has dang near doubled the amount of food consumed here. We got takeout twice last week since all restaurants are closed for dine-in---felt a little obligation to give folks some business cause they are really hurting and folks are losing jobs. My dad is in a re-hab center with a broken hip, I haven't been able to see him for over a week, other than standing outside his window and talking on the phone--I REALLY wish he was able to be at home right now.

Mine is about 3rd on the number of virus cases and I think a higher percentage of the population--so I'll be surprised if it doesn't happen this week. Don't know if my work (machine shop) would be considered essential, we don't do very much pharmaceutical work these days. Just have to take it as it comes.
