As for the GM parts, by the time GM phased out Olds, Pontiac, Saturn and
Hummer, those vehicles were using common parts and corporate engines,
transmissions and drivelines. Almost all of the rest of the vehicles
were identical to Chevys or Buicks except the exterior sheet metal.
There are aftermarket parts still available for many of the body panels
for the discontinued models. I still see lots of these vehicles running
around my neck of the woods, with the exception of Hummers. There were
never many of those to start with. The H2 was built on the Tahoe chassis
and the H3 was built on the TrailBlazer chassis. Only the bodies were
different.

The transfer machining lines were torn out and the saleable machines sold. The rest of the equipment was scrapped. The plant was torn down. There is never going to be any more of that model engine unless the aftermarket wants to sell the item. That is more consideration to the end user than is normal.
