Fendt tractors are built in high labor cost Germany. The real question is what operations are being performed at Agco Edgewood. It could be that installing wheels and tires in Edgewood on incoming Fandt's saves the cost of shipping them from Marcktoberdorf.

The Agco people admit that it was feedback from potential customers to relocate production of the large wheeled tractors from the Agco factory in Beauvais France to Jackson, Minnesota. Prior to that, the imported Massey Ferguson, Challenger, and Agco wheeled models might have been prepped at this facility. The orange Agco models were discontinued as part of that production relocation. Is that the source of Cecil's burr under the saddle? I am guessing that it is cost advantageous to manufacture in Jackson versus Beauvais.

The Massey Ferguson brand has a higher market share worldwide than it does in the US.
