[AT] Tractor hauling in Oz was 108 mph

Maybe I first ought to ask the question of how do you move tractors in Australia. Do you load them on a tandem or triple axle trailer and pull the trailer with a pickup?

The F150 is made in multiple US plants.

The Chevrolet Colorado is the current Chevy pickup midsize model. I wonder if they are selling it in Oz as a Holden Colorado?

I encountered a young blonde Australian man in his late teens studying Vehicle Design at Oakland Community College about 18 years ago. We were in a Catia class together. His plan then was to return to Oz after completing the program. I often wonder what happened to him. I told him of my peacetime military experience and I never encountered an immigrant who was so approving of US military capability.

The biggest sellers are twin cab pickups, coz there is a tax advantage over company-supplied cars.

I suspect Toyota is the leader, with the Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi something and Holden Colorado (?) in the mix. There are a sprinkling of others which don't come to mind.

I think there is talk of importing F100s (150s?) and specialist companies converting them to right hand drive . If that is so, they will be very expensive!

You are almost correct about GM shutting Holden down. All the Holden badged cars are now fully imported, but there is still a substantial design team here.

Sorry, can't think of any tractor reference - antique or otherwise!
