All the Aussies that would show up at the wine factory to work with the centrifuges called adjustables "Shifters" box ends were "Ring Spanners". Of course we'd send the new guy after a metric adjustable. 😊

I just read a great name for an adjustable wrench:   someone derogatorily called it a “Nut lathe”.

 

Now that’s funny.   It made me wonder if there are any other great tool names that I have missed hearing all my life?
