Spark can be checked pretty easily without having to pull the plugs if you have a timing light. The inductive type are probably better for this since you won’t have to pull the wire off of the plug. Just watch the flash of the strobe and see how strong the flash is, if there is one. Check all the plugs just in case you happen to have picked the only one that is firing on your first try.

LOL, I did try to start it since no one was home, didn't even sputter or
anything. I called the owner and he was completely annoyed that I tried
to start it without him there. That's understandable. I would guess at
this point it's spark or fuel since I didn't smell gasoline. Sorry for
the late reply spent the day in the Hospital with AFIB, such fun.
