The engine control algorithms are not shared. This is very different from the diagnostic codes which are shared by law, and have been for ages. OTC has (or had 12 years ago when I worked on the project) a scan tool that reads ISO11783 scan codes which are the ones all heavy duty vehicles use since a long time ago. That is deere, cat, and kenworth for sure.

Right to repair is not what it sounds like which is why deere opposes it.
