I would counter Mr. Sorensen's designation of Harry Ferguson as a salesman by saying Harry was a pretty good one. Harry sold his tractor company and went into semi-retirement as a millionaire back when a million meant something.

[Jack] Harry Ferguson was trained by apprenticeship as a bicycle mechanic. I do not know what if any additional training or education he had. He also flew an early airplane in Ireland. Chares Sorensen of Ford later insulted him by calling Harry a salesman.
