Subject: [AT] ATIS.net domain

As most of you folks remember, a few years back I simplified a lot of the
domain name configurations for the lists. All websites, mailing list,
forums, etc. for the Antique Tractor Group since then have moved to
Antique-Tractor.com.

Likewise, for the stationary engine group, all resources go to
stationary–engine.com. ATS.net, was basically parked and dormant. It
redirected to antique tractor.com if you tried to visit atia.net, but other
than that it really didn’t do anything.

I recently was approached by a buyer for the ATIS.net domain. I have since
completed the sale and transferred it today. ATIS.net no longer has
anything to do with me, you, or anything we have ever done.

It was a hard decision, since I have owned the domain name for over 22
years. But since it was doing nothing and the offer was good, I just couldn’t
justify keeping it. I suspect ATIS.com is the one who bought it. They’ve
have had a web presence nearly as long as we have. However I cannot
guarantee that since the buyer was anonymous. For all I know, it could end
up as a porn site.

Anyways, it’s a sad day for me and I feel like I have stabbed something
sacred in the heart. But removing emotion from it, I knew it was the right
decision. I also thought you deserved to know. Hence this message.

Have a great Labor Day weekend!
