Urban legend, I do not know the truth of it, has Steve McQueen driving an Amtrac (Amphibious Tractor) through the streets of Oceanside, California. If true, there was likely punishment involved. That Amtrac, if still in existence, would certainly be an antique.

Back in the eighties, the bus that "The Graduate" and Elaine rode away in ran on the Kent State Campus bus service.
