China has more lithium.

Francis Robinson aka "farmer" Central Indiana USA AT List Member <robinson46176 at gmail.com; Didn't Allis Chalmers build an all electric tractor? At least a prototype?

Mike Meulens AT List member <meulenms at gmx.com ; Lithium is not an unlimited resource, IMO it is a start to the day that petroleum is depleted, which is a long way off. Hopefully by then we'll have perfected an alternative.

Frank DeWitt 585-624-3052 Mechanical Design LBP INC. 2365 Cox Rd., Bloomfield NY 14469 http://www.lbpinc.com <frank at lbpinc.com; I have been studying Lithium batteries and Tesla for quite a while.

The key to Lithium battery life is the charger.  The smarter the charger the longer the life. Tesla know this and has worked on there batteries and chargers to the point where privately owned fleet Teslas have run 300,000 miles with the original battery and are still running fine.  The owners are learning that the cost per mile is lower then gasoline powered cars and it makes sense to keep them longer. The data out there is for the model S.  The new model three has a new battery design and the company is predicting (and guaranteeing) longer life  They predict 500,000 and guarantee 120,000
