[AT] OT Deer Whistles

Insurance companies hate deer.  They'd much rather pocket your annual
premium and never give any of it to a body shop.  All the statistics on
deer strikes seem to be coming from the insurance industry.  You know they
watch this subject carefully.  If deer whistles worked at all, you can bet
that the insurance companies would be pushing for them.  But alas most
reports on deer whistles I've seen are negative, and even the optimistic
ones say results are inconclusive.  Some say "they can't hurt" and others
reply that they could spook deer into your path as easily as spooking them
away from you.  During the rut, deer are insane.
