[AT] Portland

    Hi all;

    I responded to Spencer last night to let him know that I will again be reserving our camping area for Portland. As a past director, I still have the privilege to reserve our area.

    Spencer expects to have a good turnout with some special events. I can reserve what we need ahead of time. Just need to know who plans to come and camper type. More people are coming every year and camping units keep getting bigger, including my own.

    I will again be organizing the gate for golf cart and riding vehicles at the northwest corner of the camp ground. This will be my main task for the show and may be bugging you all to volunteer.

    I think you all know this show relies heavily on our volunteer work force. We encourage everyone to do a little extra. This is how we go a little extra to help you to have a camp spot.

                        Gene Dotson ATIS Wagon master.

  I'll start if nobody else has yet. I am planning on being there. Just me and it's just too far to bring a tractor unless I can get the Cub ready in time.

    Hope your kidding, Gene. You can’t unsubscribe because of the ATIS 25th anniversary gathering at Portland in August .

    Wait? Whoops! I let the cat out of the bag. This year will be a special gathering of all the ATIS subscribers at the Tristate Portland Indiana tractor show this August to celebrate 25 years of gathering as a community at Portland. New to the show or a regular, I’ll hope you come. We will gather for dinner on Wednesday and a Friday lunch like we used to do. Nightly Dotson fires are always on hand.

    I know the engine folks have some of their own traditions and routines, but I would like to add some sort of joint gathering with the engine folks as well. I haven’t spoken to any of the engine regulars yet to see what might be possible. But I’m sure we can put something together.

    I’ll have one of the old banners and some ATIS swag for people to snarf up. As we get older, traveling with tractors and trailers to the show is getting harder than it used to be so the number of tractors ATIS members have been bringing has been dwindling. Maybe this year a few more could show up?

    Anyways I would like to have as many folks there as we can. This is a great group, great community and some face time together is always a lot of fun.

    See ya in August....

    PS: Gene is no longer the camping director, but we still need to get a list of campers to the camping director by sometime in June (is that right Gene?) to ensure we have enough space together for all the campers. I could use a volunteer to handle that list, but if push comes to shove I’ll handle it

          Considering unsubscribing.

        My bill changed when mom started using the Sony and I haven’t audited the bill lately. Will make sure I’m not over charging you. I’m sharing my military discount with you so maybe what I sent isn’t correct.
