I found it amusing to read about the elephant tractor confrontation. Elefante is the Spanish word. According to this dictionary it is the same in Italian. http://www.wordreference.com/enit/elephant

You would not be driving antique McCormick tractors in convoy across Africa at 30 MPH. Maybe they copied the Massey Ferguson South Pole re-enactment expedition of a couple of years ago.
