Dean,

What you experienced is something nobody really wants to go through, whether it’s someone you knew, or a total stranger. This is one of those things that occurs as part of life and there is nothing that can be one to prevent it. Take some comfort in the fact that it was you who found him and not his mother. Had she been the one, it may have been too much for her and there could have been additional losses.

Dean:
Nothing I can say can alleviate what you have experienced. I have had those experiences and pulled one older fellow out of a round baler. It stays with you for a few nights. I am lucky in that I seem to be able to analyze what happened step by step. That is my method for coping with those bad experiences.
