Not one of the earliest, but not too far from it. . I had been looking for a piece of land and bought a very worn out D-14 about that time.

There was a moment in the mid 90s where I had to decide if I wanted to commercialize ATIS or not. I decided this had to be about people and community and couldn’t be about money. I remember Chris disagreeing and wanted it to be more. They then started Yesterday’s tractors in 96/97 time frame.

I know there’s a lot of people there and many of them are very smart and knowledgeable. But the whole thing always seemed phony when juxtaposed against the heritage of the men and women that plowed the prairies.

I’ll bet a dozen or two of them are still with us. Brice Adams and Steve Sewell come to mind. Herb Metz, Farmer, Steve Offlier, John Thompson, Richard walker, and one or more of the Dotson brothers (“wagon master” Gene is still here). The Waugh brothers were pretty early too and Gene Waugh is still with us.

Many of those earliest members have switched ISPs three or four times and I’m not sure we could trace addresses.
