BTB – Business to Business?
Did Dennis buy the tire from the company that refused to balance it
[Stephen Offiler] Sorry to hear that Dennis. Blowout at highway speed is bad enough; while trailering even worse - was it front or rear? Also, "BTB" is a new term to me. Not sure... Brake & Tire... Something? The local tire shop I use is very good about free rotations and free balancing for the "life" of the tire. I tend to do my own rotations, and haven't needed re-balance lately, so admittedly I haven't tested their policy much.
[ Dennis Johnson] Spencer, Phil
That is a 20 foot container, empty weight about 4850.
Mileage was about 12.5. I tried to keep it around 55 mph.
Pulled good except for loosing 1 tire.went to local BTB a week ago, with a balance issue, and they refused to redo balance because tire tread was not new enough. Still legal, they just wanted to sell tires a few month before i was ready. Result was 1 place wore through steel on tire and blew out about 4:30 AM. Rest of tire tread still looked fine.
