I got some operator training on Eimco bulldozers in the military. They were powered with Detroit Diesel 71 series engines. I had not know that Eimco had been a user of GarWood bulldozer add ons. 

The Terex which had the engine in the front were preferred for scraping roads to clear mines, I am told. Look at the Eimco and you will see why.
