Re: Starting engines
Couple decades ago when we lived near Bloomington, IN a long haul trucker
came home before Christmas; weather turned very cold for over a week.
Shortly after the holidays he had to get back on the road. He placed a dozen
plus cheap charcoal grill basins under the cab after he got them lighted,
stabilized and glowing. Then he placed a big tarp over the entire tractor.
Several hours later he got in the cab and immediately started the truck
engine. That may be standard procedure further north but had not heard of
it. Herb(GA)
