Well if you guys are above zero farenheit then I can't have much
sympathy as we have not been above zero in well over a week.
Hit -37 early one morning. Daytime "high" of -22F Couple of frozen water
lines yesterday as we don't have enough snow for good
insulation like in a normal winter.
Guess I shouldn't complain that I don't have to shovel snow though. I
still get to town maybe once a week although I had to resort to the old
truck when the "newer" 97 Blazer wouldn't start. The old 81 barreling
down the highway with twin contrails bilowing out the back in the
frosty air. Nice and warm inside but I didn't waste any time.
The old Super 90 is keeping the cattle supplied with hay and the
Cockshutt 50 ground up a load of oats back before the weather turned so
cold.
Took this pic of the Massey and some of the herd yesterday as the moon
rose over the Red River special threshing
machine on the hill.
