A few of you folks has inquired as to how we
survived Hurricane Harvey and below is a few photos of my sons home that is
located 5 miles north of me ( I am high and dry ) BUT he has been fighting
this flooding since wednesday morning . Put up an aqui dam using a 18" hose
, connecting both ends to a coupler with a 2" pipe hole to fill with water
and a 3/4 pipe hole for valve to let air escape with sump pumps on dry side
to pump out any water that seeps under . All 4 acres is any where from 8
feet deep to as little as 17" deep and that is where house sits .Will be
hauling 2 to 300 more sand bags today in order to try and build dam higher
. He has fought a long hard 24 hours a day battle since wednesday morning
and they opened all flood gates yesterday at Toledo Bend Reservoir
compounding matters . So , am asking for your thoughts and prayers as I do
believe in the POWER of PRAYER .
