[AT] now 3pt hitch

This is one of the most Frustrating things I have seem. The stabilizing pins on my IH2504 are mounted on an angle that bends to easy and messes up the pivot. Finally got an 8 foot cheater pipe with a chain hook welded to it to bend them back into place. On my MF35D the pins are also on another angle that is larger and oriented different. Pins were mounted in the wrong hole when I got it. I have had the links stressing mounts enough that it broke the Linch pin holding the bottom mounts and stabilizer bar in place. Without the stabilizer links I have too much side swing on my rear blade where it catches my tire sometimes.
I am not sure if either of the mounts I have for the links were “factory” installed. I also am not sure that some stabilizer pin mounts were built by someone that passed high school geometry.
My IH and MF stabilizer links are a flat bar. I had to reverse the bottom link pin on my dirt scoop to fit on the outside of the scoop instead of the inside, so I could get the stabilizer bar connected. I need to get an adjustable length stabilizer are, but until then using a 3 pound hammer helps to get them hooked up.

Good Luck

Dennis

On the AC720 L&G tractor the pivot point for the 3pt anti-sway chains is
different than the pivot point for the two lower arms, causing the chains to
tighten/loosen as the implement goes up/down. Very undesireable, and can be
dangerous. I tried Dean's "Band-Aid" of adding washers; result was the
implement did not flop around when lowered, but the chains tightened when
raising the implement so that I could hardly get the implement clear of the
ground. And there is no easy way of relocating the pivot point to it's
proper location.
Result is I can not use AC720 for close cultivating in the garden. Maybe
this winter I can find time to reduce the significance of this undesireable
situation. Herb(GA)

I own a few Leinbach implements all the way out here on the opposite coast.
They have performed quite well and have no real complaints. I did have one
problem with their scoop. The three point pin spacing for the draft arms
were too narrow for my JD 750. Since the anti-sway chains on my JD750
attach to the inside of the draft arms, even with the absolute minimum chain
length, I couldn't keep the scoop from hitting the rear tires. .As a
Band-Aid I added at many washers to each mounting pin as I could to spread
the draft arms and that helped a whole bunch. I Haven't taken the time to
find out which, the tractor or the scoop, didn't meet the ASAE three point
specifications. At this late date is kind of a moot point
