Al, looking through old emails I ran across this one. Did you ever pick up
an M?

Subject: [AT] I want a M Farmall......

Every time I walk to my little shop ("the skunkworks") I pass my "corn
picker without a tractor." It sure looks lonely without a Farmall M to sit
on. I'm hoping my budget will level out so that I can find one for it this
winter. I've been watching Craigslist, TractorHouse, Ebay, the (NC)
Agricultural Review, etc. They seem to be expensive here in NC and cheaper
as you head towards Ohio/Iowa/Indiana/etc. Looks like $1500 is about the
cheapest one can be had that is ready to roll...I'll be wanting one that I
can take home and mount up with the corn picker, not a project.

It's so bad I have even thought about selling my 856, it literally hasn't
been started in a year, it's got some injector pump issues that I haven't
fully sorted out. But, with pump issues and slick rear tires, I know I'd
take a bath on it, so I guess she stays. I've never felt more "10 feet
tall" than when I'm on that tractor, even though it's not exactly practical
for what I need, so I would miss it.

I need to start buying lottery tickets I guess......

Al
