[AT] New tractor to me

JD offered either a horizontal muffler directly off of the exhaust manifold or a rear exhaust muffler setup. Not sure I understand why the PO chose to install it on top of the hood. Must have been a need we are not aware of. Sometimes farmers got very inventive for reasons that have been lost in time.

Spencer-
An under tractor exhaust was already an option on the x0 series. The 60 we
had was and considerably quieter than the vertical exhaust equivalent.

Thanks Herb!
I assume the horizontal muffler was an owner modification(need to research
that), one of the very few on the tractor. The tractor is a vegetable
version, which is taller than a regular. A vertical muffler must have gone
to nearly 7-8 '. The previous owner used to have an orchard, so I assume
the horizontal muffler was to restrict interference with branches. Plus they
might've had a low beam over the entrance to the shed to store the
tractor(-;
They also bolted an ammo box on the rear axle as a toolbox, and they bolted
a big chunk of steel to the front axle to add some front end weight. Seem to
be the only modifications which was very nice to see.
