Never heard of a left hand pipe fitting. Can you get a line wrench on 
them? When all else fails, get a pipe wrench and show it who's boss. 
Worse scenario you'd have to weld the nipple back on. If you don't want 
to get too brutal, pull the cylinder and send to a rebuild shop.
