Ron,

That is a hard question to answer.  It has been a long time. I see no need
to reset the points on the 620 and I just clean the heck out of the points
on the 36 AO but I don't recall having reset the points on it either for a
long time. I kind of have a rule that if it isn't broken I don't try to fix
it.

     My question is, "how recent are the points sets in each unit?"

However, the magneto more than likely has a drain hole where moisture could
get in and the 620 has a vertical distributor, so you could very 
well be correct.    I just don't understand how Washington fuzz gets to 
Iowa.
