Found my leak--radiator. I would have bet money that it was oil--it was
more yellow (not green) and felt pretty greasy. Long story short, top
tank leaking at seam. The way we park the tractor it is headed slightly
down hill (there is no flat land here--every shed is on a hillside). The
clamp for the radiator is 1/2" or so from the core. So with the tank
leaking up top on the front side, it drips onto the clamp, which runs on
the bowl, which--well u get the idea. I tried to get up with the local
semi-retired radiator repair guy, no luck--must be fishing at the coast.
I said screw it and ordered one from Shoup. He had 11 in stock and sold
34 last year, so the quality must be decent. There were a couple places
a little cheaper online but I have had great results from Shoup, and
shipping was free. I have no intention of ever letting this tractor go
so I don't mind springing for a new radiator--still hurt the wallet though.
