[AT] OFF TOPIC

I've said before that I dumped windows for Linux years ago. I then tried
Windows 8 (Hated it...) that came on a pair of laptops I bought just before
my quad bypass in November 2013. I had a silly notion that I was going to
use my recovery time working on genealogy stuff. With the drugs and
pump-head I did well to keep track of who I was... :-)
After Windows 8 "blue-screened" 3 times in one day and lost a whole big
batch of pictures I hadn't backed up yet I formated the hard drive and put
Linux back on.
Six to eight months ago we bought two new laptops because there were some
things we wanted Windows for and it was easier to buy it on the new laptops
than to install it on laptops that were already aging and a little limited
to start with. I had been using an old copy of XP on an old desktop for
rare use but it was quite old and MS bailed on XP.
After all of these years I actually have to say that Windows 10 doesn't
totally suck... We still use our old Linux laptops a lot but I don't hate
Windows 10 like I did previous versions.
On Linux I used Chromium which is the Linux version of Chrome. These new
laptops are supposed to be faster and more memory but after Ubuntu and
Chromium using Windows 10 and Edge browser feels a bit like dragging a
parachute behind your car. I got past the worst of that by switching to
Opera Browser. Much faster...
