[AT] O. T. - Really tired today

I had a doctor like that. I fought him on the statins though I started on a
natural variant for awhile (cholestoff I think). I increased my activity
level and dropped some weight. He was surprised I dropped my numbers so far
(truth be told, he said I couldn't do it so I had to prove him wrong).

Then my son came along. And he likes to run. with me. a lot. I used to joke
that I'm his ADHD medication and he's my cholesterol medication. Now it's
not a joke. He made nationals last year in junior olympics as part of a
4X400 meter relay (8 and under group). My new doctor said my cholesterol
numbers were borderline but whatever I was doing had me healthy and he
didn't see any need for medication. Then I got more serious about running.

I ran another 8 miles this morning (my fitbit shows about 65-70 miles a
week). And I'm learning all about sore feet (plantar fasciitis among other
things). But with the history of heart issues in my family, sore feet can
be dealt with. Running shoes are a cheap investment compared to the
alternatives. :)
