Bob, that's good to know. I think I'm familiar with that stuff.
It's the deep red paint on the inside of transmissions, etc. I think?

Glyptal makes a line of paints designed to coat magnets
Its also used on cast iron to prevent rust and it aids in oil flow inside an
engine blocks
